Astralis have advanced to the Upper Bracket final of Group C at MLG Columbus after moving past Gambit 16-10 on de_train. Starting out on the Terrorist side, Astralis picked up the opening round following a textbook B push, but they were caught off-guard in the first anti-eco round, in which Rustem "mou" Telepov managed to win a 1vs2 clutch. Gambit surprisingly held on strong and got out to a 5-1 lead, but then Astralis put their foot down to hold back the CIS side and closed out the half with a 9-6 lead. Gambit came from the break looking determined and took the pistol round thanks to a quad kill from Dauren "AdreN" Kystaubayev, but they were unable to follow it up as Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen picked up two crucial Desert Eagle kills with the flank before his teammates did the rest of the work with a deadly double Scout setup.
Down 7-11, Gambit were successful during an eco round, but once again Astralis would not let them string two rounds together. The Danish team continued grinding out rounds and brought the scoreline to 14-8, forcing a tactical pause out of Gambit. With just a sliver of hope and no room for mistakes, Gambit were able to get two rounds in a row, but Astralis were not going to let the comeback happen and took the map, 16-10.
